4th EUROPEAN MUSIC COMPETITION FOR CONCERT BANDS – FANFARE ORCHESTRAS – BRASS BANDS

June, 5th and 6th, 2027, Philharmonie Luxembourg

After 2013, 2017 and 2023, the Luxembourg music federation Union Grand-Duc Adolphe (UGDA) organizes in 2027 the 4th European competition for wind orchestras in collaboration with the Philharmonie Luxembourg. The competition is open to the best wind orchestras and youth orchestras (concert bands, fanfare orchestras and brass bands) from all countries, an especially from Europe.

The competition will be held in two levels of difficulty: Concert Division and National Division. Orchestras from other countries than Luxembourg are only able to compete in the highest division.

There are three different categories (Wind Orchestra – Fanfare – Brass Band). Wind orchestras and youth wind orchestras compete in the same category.

Artistic director of the competition is the renowned conductor Jan COBER.

Winners 2017 : Koninlijke Harmonie Sint-Martinus Opgrimbie (B), Koninlijke Fanfare Onafhankelijkheid Wiekevorst (B), Italian Brass Band (I)

Winners 2023 : Koninklijke Harmonie Ypriana (B), Fanfareorkest De Hoop Stellendam (NL), Brassband Buizingen (B)

4. EUROPÄISCHER MUSIKWETTBEWERB FÜR BLASORCHESTER – FANFAREORCHESTER – BRASS BANDS

am 5. und 6. Juni 2027 in der Philharmonie Luxembourg

Nach 2013, 2017 und 2023 organisiert der Luxemburger Musikverband Union Grand-Duc Adolphe (UGDA) 2027 den 4. Europäischen Musikwettbewerb für Blasorchester, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Philharmonie Luxemburg. Eingeladen sind die besten Blasorchester und Jugendorchester (Harmonieorchester, Fanfareorchester und Brass Bands) aus allen Ländern und insbesondere aus Europa.

Der Wettbewerb sieht zwei Leistungsstufes vor: die Höchststufe (Konzertklasse) sowie die Nationalklasse, welche den luxemburgischen Vereinen vorbehalten ist. Der Wettbewerb findet in drei verschiedenen Kategorien (1. Harmonie 2. Fanfare 3. Brass Band) statt.

Orchester und Jugendorchester konkurrieren in derselben Kategorie. Die künstlerische Leitung des Wettbewerbes obliegt dem bestbekannten Dirigenten Jan COBER.

4e CONCOURS EUROPEEN POUR HARMONIES – FANFARES – BRASS BANDS

les 5 et 6 juin 2027 à la Philharmonie Luxembourg

Après 2013, 2017 et 2023, la fédération luxembourgeoise de musique Union Grand-Duc Adolphe (UGDA) organise en 2027 en étroite collaboration avec la Philharmonie Luxembourg le 4e Concours européen pour orchestres à vent (harmonie, fanfare, brass band). Le Concours est ouvert aux meilleurs orchestres à vent et orchestres de jeunes de tous les pays, et notamment des pays européens.

Le concours prévoit deux niveaux de difficulté: la division de concert et la division nationale, qui cependant est réservée aux orchestres luxembourgeois. La compétition se produit dans trois différentes catégories (1. Harmonie - 2. Fanfare - 3. Brass band). Les orchestres et orchestres de jeunes concourent dans la même catégorie. La direction artistique du concours a été confiée au chef d’orchestre de grande renommée Jan COBER.
